Wendy Spinks is Professor of Management Science at the Tokyo University of Science. She has a Ph.D. in Management (Human Resources) from The University of Sydney and is Chair of the International Telework Academy as well as Advisor to the Japan Telework Society. She has written extensively in the area of flexible work arrangements and their impact on conventional management methods, and is currently involved in research on telework, organisational behaviour and organisational commitment. Her publications include: Workstyle Revolution: Telework Century (1998, in Japanese), Teleworking: International Perspectives (1998, co-authored), An Introduction to Corporate Telework (1999, co-authored in Japanese), eBusiness and Workplace Design (2001, co-authored), The Entrepreneurial & Labour Nature of Home-Based Workers (2003, co-authored in Japanese), Management Science (2005, co-editor and co-author, in Japanese) and The Business Communication Handbook (2007, co-authored in Japanese). She is Deputy Director of the NPO SOHO at Shizuoka, Advisor to the Japan Telework Association, and a member of the Japan Organisational Psychology Society, Japan Society of Human Resources Management, and the Association of Japanese Business Studies. She has participated in numerous Japanese government-related advisory committees and research projects in the field of information communications technology and work.
