One session used the Apollo 13 mission to explore the possibilities of telework, stressing the need for solid management and a clear line of sight for decision-taking responsibility. Several practitioner papers outlined examples of telework on remote islands in the Okinawa area and an interesting scientific paper proposed an evaluation model for independent telework support facilities, which is to be tested by a nationwide survey of these kinds of centers early next year. However, there was not much discussion of virtual teams, which dominated at the Polish Workshop.
